L’International Renewable Energy Agency in collaborazione con la Technical University of Denmark hanno messo online un nuovo atlante mondiale delle risore eoliche.
Ha una risoluzione senza precedenti, di 1 chilometro contro i circa 10 km degli atlanti esistenti e fornisce la velocità media del vento a tre diverse quote, consentendo così di valutare gli effetti di variabili dovute alla morfologia locale quali la presenza di rilievi.
